The line-up includes virtuosos who have won international competitions, such as Jeong Hyoun Christine J. Lee and rising stars, like Florian Delporte and Elen Shahinans.
The concerts will include a variety of classical instruments from the string and woodwind families, as well as the accordion and harpsichord. The highly talented musicians are based in Brussels or passing through. The concerts reflect the European Parliament’s commitment to culture and its support for young artists.
The Citizens Garden [opened/ opens] on 1 September as a green oasis amid the Brussels European Quarter. The European Parliament has helped to preserve Brussels’ heritage by restoring the garden of Antoine Wiertz. The concerts hark back to the soirées and gatherings organised by the 19th century artist, who modelled his garden on ancient Greece and Rome.
Please note that you will be asked to wear a facemask at the concerts and follow distancing instructions. Please arrive early and take a seat before the performances begin. In case of bad weather, appropriate measures will be taken.
